Welcome to the big show..

We have all been there... A long drive in front of us.. We have listened to Z 100 for two hours and already heard four Britney Spears songs. We can not take it anymore..

So what are your options ??? I mean you know if you turn to the AM dial you are gonna get the same old bull.. Every sports talk radio show is the same.. The one guy is gonna rip the team to shreds and the other guy is gonna defend the team to death... I don't want to listen to any show where I can predict ever single segment.. So what can you do??
Do not give up hope.. There is one show that is a little different. A little funnier .. a little smarter …and a lot more enjoyable…

That’s right you guessed its the Max Kellerman show..

What Max kellerman ?? That guy is way over the top he says outrageous things like" Jose Veras is better then K ROD ( and now that K Rod has signed with the Mets its only a matter of time until that statement is true..) or Eli Manning is the best player in the NFL ( Well that one is true) .. Maybe Max is a little wild but..The one thing you have to realize is that on Max's show you will never hear clichés like this..

As I watched this game I could tell that the momentum really shifted. ( What the hell is momentum??)

You can tell that Mangini really didn’t have them prepared with the a good game plan.

Its really not about the stats its about the intangibles… Now what the hell does that mean??

The truth is it's really all about the stats .. I mean if a guy has a on base percentage of 400 ( Max's favorite stat) that means he is getting on base 40 percent of the time which means that they have a better chance of bringing him home to score and scoring runs,not momentum,( Mr Fransesca) wins base ball games…

That is what Max brings to the table .. He gives you something different.. He won't go on and on with ridiculous sports clichés ..He will give you stats and numbers which give you a better understanding of the game.. and isn’t that really why they keep the stats to begin with?

Here is the major difference between Max and let's say Mike Francesa … Max Kellerman knows that we don't tune into sports radio to hear what some random dude who never played the game thinks about the game. We want facts ,news, information and knowledge about the sport..Mike (pompous) Franseca (yes its his middle name) has convinced himself that everyone else out there really cares what he says about sports… I know it sounds like a hard concept… Please allow me to stick my foot further in my mouth. When Mike Fransesca interviews someone he will say, " So Derek the momentum really shifted there after Leyritz's homerun.( First of all ..that is one of my favorite sports moment of all time..Second what the hell is momentum is that a stat??) Derek," Yeah we really got our confidence back.. Mike" Yeah I could sense that.. I knew after that hit that the Yanks were gonna come back to win ..You guys really seemed to get on a role after that,I don’t what the hell Wholers was thinking throwing that pitch.. If I was managing…..Ya da Ya da Ya da… The point is that Derek Jeter got in eight words and we learned nothing about the game or the scenario..Now a Max interview, " Where are here with Aaron Boone. So Aaron Did you know what kind of pitch you were gonna see from Wakefield? ( My other favorite baseball moment) Aaron," Yeah I kinda of expected him to bring that pitch….

Max will allow you, the listener, to hear what Aaron Boone thought..not what Max thought.. So now you understand what the Yankee player was thinking, feeling or doing and not the broadcaster..

Skeptic-Hey Big Show .. Big Show- Yes ? Skeptic-Max talks about boxing..Who cares about boxing? Its less popular then hockey ..Well you have me there .. But is it any more annoying then when Russo talked about tennis or when Franseca discusses horse racing?? No it’s the same... It also hurts my Max for president campaign so ...case closed…

Here is the number one reason why you should tune into Max and not anyone else...

He is funny

… You listen to his show for three hours and you will not be bored..I guarantee it..He has bits like.. Superhero baseball team.Superman in center.. Hulk ( spinach) at first … The Dantoni offense machine.. Skeptic- What is that?? So you put something that sucks in the Dantoni offense and it becomes something great…Put David Lee in there and he becomes Charles Barkley.. Put the Mets in there, they become the Yanks.. Put Mike Franseca in there he becomes Max Kellerman… My personal favorite is the hockey rant. Max sets aside a few minutes every day for hockey fans ( all 3 of them) to call up and rant about hockey .. Then somehow he goes passed that time discussing real sports and then says," O sorry , hockey rant tomorrow" ( I mean it's really not that big of deal ,isn't Hockey still on strike??)

He even advertises better then anyone… I swear the first time I listened to a Max Kellerman advertisement I thought he was telling a real story.." So I went in to this steak house and its huge and this waiter comes over and immediately pours me wine and I got this 24 ounce delicious steak" He includes the producer and the intern in the advertisement. .. It took me like 2 minutes to tell he was doing a commercial… The Skeptic is thinking to him self ," advertising?? That's what he is going with ." If you have ever heard a Max Kellerman advertisement you know what I am referring to ..

Finally ,how many names are there that when you hear it you only think of one person...Like Lebron or Kobe or Max?? ( Just throwing it out there if you like it great if not throw it back..)

So if our under the age of 55, and like to hear about more then momentum then from 10 -1 there is nothing on the radio that will be more entertaining or enjoyable then Max.

Try it and let your self become a soldier in his army..
